Etsy love (XIII) ....

Tuesday, March 1

This weekend, I was in the mood for all things sweet, fun and colorful. And guess what?! I found it all in these four Etsy shops. Don't they deserve some love? Yes! So, here it goes....

The image of the three vintage textile bobbins was the one that caught my eye and made me check out the rest of the goodies in 5gardenias. So pretty and perfect for the home. Another reason to shop here? Kathi, the owner, is a member of Etsy's Project Embrace. It is a group of artists and sellers committed to raising money for cancer research through the sale of items from their Etsy shops. Currently, donations are going to the American Cancer Society. Go team!

I have a thing for silhouette portraits. I remember having one made when I was in kindergarten, and my mom still has it. These custom silhouette necklaces from lucky me beads are super cool. All you need to do is send a profile photo of a loved one and the silhouette will be hand cut, reduced to size on the computer, printed on decorative paper, and turned into a pendant from vintage and antique rings. What a great keepsake!

Joanne of shaving kit supplies has a really nice selection of vintage items. I'm smitten with the piggy bank from the 1950s. It still has its original cork, so please don't break him and also refrain from vigorous shaking!

I can really get really creative with the items in Violet Gift Shop. Check out the stamps, stickers and various types of tape. I love the oldbook masking tape and the pencils made out of recycled paper.
