Hello Friday ....

Friday, September 30

This week went by pretty fast! I love when that happens, don't you? Any fun plans this weekend? I don't really have anything planned, so I'm just going to take it easy and write a little bit. See you Monday!

Gone rogue ....

Thursday, September 29

I love this stunning editorial photographed by Ross Laurence. Shot exclusively for Fashion Gone Rogue, Datcha features model Ulia True in the Russian countryside. Plenty of gorgeous natural light and I'm coveting those vintage dresses.

Etsy love ....

Wednesday, September 28

Red Tile Studio makes these graphic art wood blocks. The ones below are my ultimate faves.

In Skylark ....

On Saturday, I went to Venice thinking the Abbot Kinney Festival was happening that day. Unfortunately, I got the date wrong. Oh well. I still walked around and found Skylark, this cool boutique that has great vintage boots, sunglasses from the 70s/80s, and cool western button-downs. Yup, I'll definitely go back for the boots.

Colorful home accents like these from Rachel Denbow's Newton House Tour. Gorgeous!

Fischer clothing ....

Wednesday, September 21

The models in Fischer's Fall 2011 collection are looking pretty sharp! I love each piece Kristina Angelozzi's has designed for this line, and that you can wear them season after season. Also, the photos are amazing. The photographer's Edwin Tse, and I featured his work back in June

Just a minute ... in September

Tuesday, September 20

I recently found this fun meme on Daydream Lily. Just A Minute ... began two years ago by Jenaveve of August Street as a way for bloggers to get to know each other.

How it works:
Pick a day of the month to post and give a handful of highlights beginning with an action like reading ... listening to ....

Then give it a title, "Just a minute ... in (month)" so it is easier for people to search.

Let's begin!

Reading ... Angelology by Danielle Trussoni. So far, I'm enjoying this book. It revolves around a young nun who finds herself between an ancient conflict between the Society of Angelologists and the Nephilim, descendants of angels and humans. It's very Da Vinci Code-esque.

Listening ... to Strict Joy by The Swell Season (the duo from Once). Just bought the deluxe edition on iTunes, and since then it's been on repeat while I work. So goood....

Watching ... a lot of TV. There's Project Runway, The Rachel Zoe Project, all the HGTV shows, Picker Sisters, and Castle. Also looking forward to the series, New Girl starring Zooey Deschanel, which premieres tonight on FOX!

Buying .... design books. This weekend, I bought Design Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney. Gorgeous and inspiring!

Studying ... astrology. I had my chart read last week, and a lot of the terms went over my head. I'm ruled by Saturn? Jupiter's in my ninth house?

Waiting ... for Saturday to arrive. Getting my hair straightened. Hello, smooth and manageable hair!

Loving ... these photos from Now and Then

Goodbye weekend ....

Sunday, September 18

The weekend went by soooo quickly! On Saturday, we woke up early to hit the local farmers market. It was a cool/overcast kind of morning, but enjoyed just walking around and seeing all the different types of delicious fruits and veggies. Now, we'll be spending the rest of the week eating plums, apples and tasty greens. Hope you all had a fun weekend!
