The Camp

Wednesday, June 20

I got a little snap happy when I went to The CAMP in Costa Mesa. I first learned about it when it was mentioned in oh, hello friend. Always up for exploring, I spent a little bit of my afternoon walking around the eco-friendly outdoor shopping center and found so many great things. The staircase with its helpful reminders to "Eat organic vegetables" or "Sleep more soundly" made me smile. Even in the parking lot, each space has its own little message. Mine told me to "Drink more water." Yeah, something I know I need to do more of. My favorite shops are below.

Seed People's Market is committed to sustainability, supporting local artisans, and selling products with a purpose. Here, you'll find a collection of handmade, recycled and other items from non-profit organizations such as Threads 4 Thought, International Sanctuary and 31 Bits. Seed's Facebook page and blog are here and here.

organic designs by aggelige is in a fabulous airstream trailer. Aggelige is the owner and she creates unique arrangements of succulents and cacti, and puts them into new, recycled or vintage pots. She also carries a collection of air plants that you can buy individually or within terrariums. You can find the shop's Facebook page here

Viva Eclectico (Live Eclectic in Spanish) is in a 1957 canned ham trailer across from organic designs. Ari is the owner and she grew up thrifting and treasure hunting with her grandfather. You'll find hidden gems from her travels in this very cute little corner.
