Etsy love ....

Tuesday, April 19

This weekend, I realized Mother's Day is coming up in about 3 weeks. So now I'm in a mad dash to find the perfect gift. Not an easy task since it is very difficult shopping for my mom. Luckily I found some great treasures the other night while browsing Etsy. I think she would be happy if I chose something from these shops....

Alexandra Ritche creates these great bags made out of one-of-a-kind leathers from her French studio in a 400-year-old home. She also has another Etsy shop called, "Lilydove and Chou Chou." It's a sweet little place to find romantic and vintage French items.

I can also think of a couple of friends who would appreciate these gifts from pi'lo since they write for a living! I would love to rest my head on the pillows that resemble traditional writing paper. Maybe it will help inspire to start writing my book?

How about pairing those pi'lo pillowcases with items from missIsa? This particular shop is pretty special. In keeping to its goal of being eco-friendly, missIsa is in the process of switching its wood cased pencils to recycled newspaper pencils. It also sells stationery made from recycled and repurposed papers.

Says the Tree sells these great miniature wood pieces. The stacked village (first image) with the hot air balloon in the background is my favorite. It's a one-of-a-kind 3D set crafted from individual blocks of wood that are shaped and pieced together to form a cluster of homes. Each house has been sanded smooth and beveled while the windows were hand woodburned onto their blocks. Love!
