Shop love

Tuesday, July 31

Last week I dropped by Poketo to shop for Ji of Blooms in the Air. We were paired up for the Oh, Hello Friend package exchange, a thoughtful gift swap open to anyone who loves to give and receive beautifully wrapped gifts. I kew Poketo carried cute stuff online, so I was excited when Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung recently opened their shop and gallery in the LA Arts District.

It was supposed to be a quick trip, but I was in there a looong time because I couldn't decide what to get and had to look at everything. I ended up leaving with pretty washi tape, reclaimed branch colored pencils, seed bombs, soap (I love the packaging on this one), and a fun Tattly temporary tattoo. I have a couple of friends with birthdays coming up so I'm heading back in for another round of shopping. Can't wait!

Definitely check out Blooms in the Air. Ji sells her whimsical handmade paper flowers at her Etsy shop. They're so pretty, right? I've also included quick snap shots of the beautiful package she sent me on Friday. I didn't open it right away because I love the thought and care she put into it, and I didn't want to ruin it. When I finally opened the box, I saw all the things that make me happy: washi tape, a handmade peony pencil from her shop, hand letterpressed thank you cards and an awesome notepad. Thank you, Ji!!!
